You'll be joining us afield and marveling at the beauty of Autumn in Colorado, the splendor of scenic vistas filled with Colorado Fall Color, and attempting to do it all justice with camera and lens. There's nothing quite like an Autumn Workshop in Colorado.
The Rocky Mountains have long been celebrated in literature and movies, and nothing quite captures the essence of the Rockies more than crisp cold Autumn mornings, the mountainsides splashed with pockets of brilliant yellow and orange as the aspen trees engage in their annual ritual.
On this Colorado Fall Color Photography Workshop, you'll have the opportunity to photograph a variety of types of images, macro, some isolated scenic, and of course images on the grand scale that epitomize the Rocky Mountain setting.
Some companies that offer Colorado Autumn Photography Workshops, have the same itinerary year after year, visiting the same places, on the same dates, often regardless of the current quality of the color of the Fall foliage.
Here at Nature Photo Tours, your Workshop Leader will be out checking on the intensity of the color at different locations in the week leading up to the Workshop. Based on their findings, we may adjust our Workshop itinerary accordingly. The reality is that, a location might have great Fall Color one year, and lousy color the next. A variety of factors go into trees producing good Fall Color. Of course we can't guarantee what Mother Nature will do year to year, but, rest assured that we're always doing our best to ensure that your trip is as successful as possible !

Regardless of what you may need assistance on, understanding histograms, composition, exposure, camera settings and functions, understanding color space, shutter speed, aperture, exposure, using filters, we're there to assist you with all of that and more ! If there's some down time on Workshops we often go over image processing with Photoshop and Lightroom.
Whatever your level of photographic skill, our Photography Workshop Leaders are intent on helping you go home with great images from our Workshop!
Not on a Workshop but need some help with image processing? We offer one on one remote learning on Photoshop and Lightroom, where we connect with you via your computer and teach you the image processing skills you need to know!
As with all of our Workshops, you get two FREE prints of any image of your choice that you shoot on the Workshop (Choose from 8x10, 11X14 or 12X18 print sizes). They'll be printed by a local Professional Photo Lab and mailed to you. These prints will be printed on a Chromira Digital LED Printer, which was judged to be the best continuous tone printer in the World.

*Workshop fee includes shooting, instruction, breakfast bars, muffins, juices, etc. and field lunch if lunchtime is spent afield. We do have a group meal at a restaurant one day that is included.
Fee does not include transportation, lodging or meals except as noted above. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation, lodging and meals, although we typically will have recommended hotels for lodging with a block of rooms set aside for Workshop participants.
